GFHG “Everything” Quad Cortex Pack
I truly hope you find the presets and effects helpful in your service to the Lord and His people.
This is the full collection…
The pack includes 8 fully programmed presets, 28 drive/compressor captures, and my collection of 100+ amp captures (and growing). There’s enough range here to cover anything you’d run into during a worship set, and other genres, of course.
I’ve focused heavily on the wet effects. Delay, reverb, and movement matter a lot in this genre, and the presets are built with that in mind.
The presets are meant to save you time and also help you understand how to build these yourself. 😎

Preset Breakdown
GFHG Signature — “The Tone I Hear In My Head”
There’s a separate Read Me for this preset.
When I sit down with any rig built for the ethereal tones of modern worship music, this is the sound I chase. It’s the tone I naturally gravitate toward when tracking songs, and it’s where I land when I take a song in a different direction and write my own parts.
To me, it’s just that sound. Open. Airy. A supportive wash underneath. It keeps me from overplaying and helps me focus on what matters. When I think of being “locked in” from a tone perspective, this is it. And when my tone is locked in, I’m able to focus less on it, and more on Christ.

Captures of My Drives, Boosts, and Compressors
These are Neural V2 and captured using my favorite settings.
One thing that’s really stood out to me with the Quad Cortex is how well it handles adjustments within the unit itself. You can change the gain, bass, or treble, and the capture doesn’t lose its identity.
The Benson Preamp is a great example. Mine has more gain than the newer versions, so I captured it that way. But when I roll the gain way back, it sounds like I rolled the gain back on the pedal itself. So instead of having multiple captures of a pedal, we can just treat the one capture as if it’s the pedal itself.
Boost / Low Gain
- Origin Effects Cali76 FET — My favorite light compression setting.
- Barber Tone Press — My favorite super-squashed compression setting.
- Greer Amps Lightspeed — The low gain wonder for just a little more hair.
- Jackson Audio Prism — One of my favorite clean boosts of all time. Has some nice sizzle.
- SOJ KDSD-3 Preamp — The Edge is known for this preamp. Great one here.
- SOJ SoloDallas Storm — A great preamp/drive that provides body.
- Tone Ranger Prickly Pear — A great preamp meant to add some sparkle.
- XACT Tone Solutions GE-7 Mod — An awesome EQ pedal that I use as a boost.
- Xotic Effects RC Booster — One of the best boost pedals of all time.
Low / Medium Gain
- Analogman King of Tone Red — Kind of medium gain. Everyone knows what this is.
- Analogman King of Tone Yellow — Everyone knows what this is.
- Apollo Approved Buckartie-Boo — The best Nobels ODR-1 variant out there.
- Benson Preamp, original gain version — One of my favorite pedals. Benson changed the gain structure of these at some point. My older one has a ton of gain on tap, and I love it. Back the gain on this capture down to -13.6 and it’s a great low gain drive.
- Chase Bliss Brothers — Low gain, Analogman KOT-ish sound.
- SOJ Sound Driver RX/CS — It’s capable of the flubby fuzz stuff, but I don’t like the way it sounds there. Where this one shines to me is with the gain barely cracked, adding bite and clarity with a bit of pent-up aggression.
- JHS SuperBolt — Low gain setting. All the fluffy goodness of the SuperBolt.
- Lauren Audio Mustang — I captured this one gainier than I normally use it, but if you back the gain down to 2–3, it’s right at the sweet spot. I also like the more gained-out tone, so keep it at 5 for some sizzle.
- NRG Effects Purrer — Low to medium gain is this one’s strength.
- Shnobel Tone Daily Driver — My favorite low–medium gain drive.
- SoloDallas CD65 — Bright and open drive sound.
Medium Gain
- Analog Man King of Tone Red and Yellow Together — So good.
- Benson Preamp, original gain version — One of my favorite pedals. Benson changed the gain structure of these at some point. My older one has a ton of gain on tap, and I love it. Back the gain on this capture down to -13.6 and it’s a great low gain drive. At 0, it’s a fire breather.
- Case Study Aspen Overdrive — A modern classic for medium gain stuff. So good.
- JHS Kilt 10, Flat Mode — Flat switch activated for a fuller sound.
- JHS SuperBolt — Medium gain setting. All the fluffy goodness of the SuperBolt.
- NRG Effects Purrer, Boost Engaged
