When I sit down with any rig built for the ethereal tones of modern worship music, this is the sound I chase. It’s the tone I naturally gravitate toward when tracking songs, and it’s where I land when I take a song in a different direction and write my own parts.

To me, it’s just that sound. Open. Airy. A supportive wash underneath. It keeps me from overplaying and helps me focus on what matters. When I think of being “locked in” from a tone perspective, this is it. And when my tone is locked in, I’m able to focus less on it, and more on Christ.

I hope you enjoy using this preset as much as I did making it. Soli Deo Gloria!

Troy, GFHG

Amp Captures

This preset features the GFHG Fusion Captures, where I blend two amps together during the capture process. For this preset, I fused my ‘99 Vox AC30 and 1997 Fender Prosonic together for one side, and that same AC30 and my Benson Chimera for the other. Sounds absolutely glorious.

Version 1.0 of this preset (the first release), included captures of my Kemper profiles of these amps. Version 1.1 of this preset (current version), includes captures of the actual amps mentioned.

Dry Effect Neural Captures Included

I captured the following pedals using the settings I use most often.

  • GFHG Cali76 FET Compressor – subtle compression and boost
  • SOJ SoloDallas Storm Custom Push Drive – used as a push drive… … …
  • Shnobel Tone Daily Driver Boost – my main light-to-medium gain drive

Signal Chain

Compressor – GFHG Cali76 FET Neural Capture
POG – Settings vary per scene. Stock setting is my “all-around” POG2 tone. Setting on the Ambient scene gets a little nuts, but nails the pingy sounds we hear on a lot of Phil Wickham stuff.
Drive 1 – GFHG SOJ SoloDallas Storm Custom Push Drive
Drive 2 – GFHG Neural Capture of Shnobel Tone Daily Driver Boost
Boost – RC Booster
Vibrato
Tremolo
Volume Pedal – Dialed in to match my… just kidding.
8th Delay
Dotted 8th Delay
Reverb 1 – Dialed to match the sound I hear in my head. Wash underneath. Ethereal. Present but not in the way. Settings adjust per scene to optimize mix level based on gain structure and tonal goal.
Reverb 2 – Dedicated ambient reverb for spacious moments.

Split Left / Right

Left Amp Path: AC30 + SONIC Fusion Capture BAL 2 (based on my ‘99 UK-made Vox AC30/6 TB and my Benson Chimera fused together)
Right Amp Path: AC30 + SONIC Fusion Capture SPARKLE 2

Stomp Mode

Drive, modulation, delay, and ‘verb are assigned to buttons in Stomp Mode for easy on-the-fly sounds when the moment feels right.

And remember, I’m here to help! If you have any questions or need guidance, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to assist you in getting the most out of your presets.

What Others Are Saying

Dude!!! Other than a couple user errors on my behalf and having the reverbs run away a couple times(I typically use stomp mode on my QC), I got so many comments on how my guitar sounded last weekend! I've had a little time to sit with it and have a better feel for where things are and how I can stack/switch more efficiently and am going to give it another run tomorrow morning!

Thank you for doing what you do! The lessons, the presets, the devos, all of it! It's greatly appreciated and makes this whole guitar playing thing feel more human!

Match30 & Deluxe Reverb 65 fusion pack and the AC30 & Prosonic fusion pack are easily the best captures I’ve tried in my Quad Cortex for worship music the amps break up so nice regardless you are using humbuckers or single coils they pair very well with wet FX and any overdrive preference Troy is absolutely cooking with these captures highly recommend to give it a go!
