The GFHG Pedalboard preset attempts to recreate my pedalboard and the switching system I use (RJM Mastermind PBC10). I love the combination of rigidity and flexibility I get from this setup. On one hand, I can touch one button to change wet effects and drives for a particular part of a song—that’s rigid. On the other hand, I can add effects in the moment if I feel the urge—that’s flexible. I was able to get pretty close with the FM9, so I hope you enjoy it!
The song-specific presets utilize the same approach as described below.
Step 1: Import the preset using FM9 edit from Fractal Audio
Step 2: Import the GFHG FM9 Layout (or use the stock FM9 layout, but I prefer the GFHG layout)
Step 3: Play
Layout 1: Presets. This is where your presets live. Select the preset you desire to use then click the Scenes button to access the part-specific scenes.
Layout 2: Scenes. This is home base, and is like the first page on my RJM Mastermind PBC10.

Button 2: POG

*Letters in brackets following the scene name denote a Control Switch Function. [R] = increase reverb, [G] = increase drive, [D] = increase delay
Layout 3: Effects. This Effects page contains engage/bypass buttons for Drives, Tremolo (HOLD for fast trem), Vibrato (HOLD for fast vibrato), POG and Chorus. It also contains a button to go to the next Effects page (HOLD to go back to Scenes) and a button for the second reverb (press to engage/bypass; HOLD to toggle between low and medium mix).
Layout 4: More Effects. This Effects page contains engage/bypass buttons for Delay 1, Delay 2, Reverb 1 and Reverb 2. After engaging, hold these buttons to cycle through the mix levels/effect types. We also have buttons for Tuner, Tap Tempo, Scenes and a button to go back to the previous Effects page.
Layouts 5-8: Stock FM9 layouts.
Master Output: I turn the master output on the FM9 all the way up, which is consistent with the outputs of other devices I use. If you need to adjust the level of any preset you’ve obtained from GuitarforHISGLORY.com/shop to match the output levels of your other presets, click the Out 1 block and adjust the Level.
Please feel free to reach out with questions.
